Usage

Strataflex is suitable for a wide range of uses from wall and furniture covering to sunroof lining and even joinery projects. Strataflex comes in a variety of designs and offers excellent durability and wear-resistance, along with an easy to clean surface. Its PVC formulation creates a highly reliable surface finish.

Application / Installation

Detailed instructions for application and maintenance are included on this document. When storing and handling this product prior to and during use, observe all normal industrial health and safety measures associated with similar products, particularly the use of suitable gloves and safety glasses. Storage

Strataflex should be stored inside, at a temperature between 15°C – 25°C, for optimum results. However, short term storage (approx. 2 weeks maximum) up to a temperature of 35°C is possible. When transporting the product use carts and keep in a horizontal position.

The application surface must be sound, smooth, normal absorbent and dry. Plaster surfaces need to be primed first with Murabond Adhesive, followed by a wallcovering adhesive such as Murabond Professional, Elites or Heritage.
Use a fine water-resistant adhesive (PVA) on surfaces that absorb more water (greenset plaster). When double-cutting the product, please use a very sharp blade to ensure a clean cut.

Wall area needs to be accurately measured and estimated with 5-8% wastage. Always apply adhesive to the wall and not to the back of the product. Only paste the area which you intend to use and always carefully follow the paper hanging instructions included with the product. During application it is normal to expect a small gap between the strips.

Maintenance

Strataflex has a chemical surface so it does not require any special maintenance technique. Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and if necessary, light, non-abrasive cleaning agents may be used.
